Be Part of a Web-Series Filming in Gibsons

 

 

 

 

“Citizen” is a web-series pilot, aiming to shoots it’s guns off in Lower Gibsons this upcoming weekend, August 25 and 26.

 

Wearing many different hats, director, writer, and producer Matthew Campbell has been working the past 4 months to get this project prepped for this big weekend.

 

With the support of the town and such a strong community, they will be taking over Lower Gibsons and making it a stage for this first episode to unfold.

 

The basic story is about a couple Canadian agents working in a small American town to uncover the secrets about a military experiment being performed on the “Citizens”, who become unwilling security cameras for the government. The pilot is about a young pair of Agents that get seperated and captured by the townspeople.

 

The web-series is aiming for 10 minute episodes, to be slowly released over time. This pilot episode is being fully funded by Matthew, and it’s definitely not cheap. Even with an entire crew made up of professional film workers who believe in the project, every little thing adds up. They hope to shoot the pilot, and then secure funding for the next 6 episode to finish off a first season.

 

With one solid short film under his belt, Matthew hopes that this project will continue to grow and expand as his vision comes to life. He shot “To Save One’s Self” in January with a professional film crew, and it’s currently working it’s way through the festival market. They are still looking for various crew, mainly PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS. Production assistants are the base stepping stone to entering the industry, and exactly how Matthew got started in the film industry 8 years ago, when THE LAST MIMZY came to town. It’s a great opportunity for young people interested in film to come out and see what happens, and decide where they want to go from there.

 

They also need some more EXTRAS for a big scene early Saturday morning, specifically people in the 15-35 age range.
