Mindil Beach Markets Fox Seeds Top 20 Showcase
Friday, June 17 at 9:30pm, The Roxy, Vancouver, BC
Mindil Beach Markets has made it into the Fox Seeds Top 20! We will be performing to a panel of major label respresentatives, 99.3 The Fox staff, talent agencies and management companies. This could be an incredible turning point in our careers! Thank you so much to everyone who voted us in to the Top 50. We still need your help though! We really want to pack the house for this showcase to impress the panel. At 9:45 on the dot we will play a half hour set. Hope you can all make it!
To gain new voters, MBM is embarking on a tour from May 20th to June 12th and doing the following:
a) Handing out 25000 business cards with instructions on how to vote
b) Handing out hundreds of free 2-song cd’s in each town we play
c) Creating a video diary of the tour which will be broadcast at youtube.com/mindilbeachmarkets
d) Around Victoria, MBM is putting up signs that read “Help a Vancouver Island band win the Fox Seeds Competition, mbmseeds.com“

2. Recording and Production of a 5 song EP with Producer Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against) at Nimbus School of Recording Arts.
3. 1-day songwriting session with Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace.
4. A Management Consultation agreement with Coalition Entertainment (Managers of OLP, Finger Eleven, Simple Plan)
5. 3-day master session in studio with Producer Chris Shaw (Bob Dylan, Public Enemy, Weezer) at Nimbus School of Recording Arts and production of 1 song.
